Want to contribute to ImmigraterBook?
We publish high-quality, actionable articles that help readers navigate visas, study-abroad options, immigration pathways, and settling-in tips. If you’re an immigration professional, education counsellor, international-student, or writer with first-hand experience — we’d love your contribution.
What we publish
We accept original, well-researched content in these areas:
-
Visa guides & how-tos (student, work, family, visitor, skilled migration)
-
Country guides and settlement advice (Australia, Canada, UK, USA, New Zealand, EU countries)
-
Study abroad: university selection, application tips, scholarships, post-study work routes
-
Immigration news explainers and policy breakdowns (clear, non-legal summaries)
-
Personal migration stories and case studies with practical lessons
-
Reviews: immigration books, test prep materials, visa services (honest & disclosed)
-
Resources for newcomers: housing, banking, taxes, jobs, health insurance
Contributor benefits
-
Author byline with short bio and profile photo.
-
Exposure to a targeted audience of prospective migrants and students.
-
Social shares on our channels (when relevant).
-
Backlink: we generally allow one contextual link inside the body (editorial discretion) and one link in the author bio — final link attributes (dofollow/nofollow) are determined by the editorial team.
Submission guidelines (copy-ready)
-
Length: 900–2,000 words (900 min for practical guides; 1,200+ recommended for comprehensive how-tos).
-
Originality: 100% unique content. We reject posts published elsewhere (including personal blogs) unless you disclose and provide a clear justification.
-
Tone & Style: Clear, helpful, conversational yet professional. Avoid legal advice phrasing — use “general guidance” and suggest consulting licensed advisers when necessary.
-
Formatting: Use short paragraphs, H2/H3 subheadings, bullet lists, and at least one image or infographic (provide image files or public domain / licensed images with credit).
-
SEO basics: include a suggested meta title (≤60 chars) and meta description (≤155 chars), one target keyword, and recommended slug.
-
Links: Up to two external links inside content (relevant & non-promotional) + one author bio link. No affiliate-first posts. Any paid promotions must be disclosed.
-
Citations: Link to reputable sources for stats or policy statements (government sites, universities, official immigration pages).
-
Images: Provide high-resolution images (JPG/PNG). Caption images and include source/credit. We may compress images for web.
-
Author bio: 30–40 words, one profile photo (square, 400×400 px recommended), links to Twitter/LinkedIn/website.
